You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Additionally, all the information that is captured through our website may be transmitted through our web host provider and across their servers. By using our website, you accept these terms outlined above.
Complaints Procedure.
TEAM RISE aims to provide its members, organisations and individuals with the best possible service. We positively welcome suggestions you may have for how we can improve our services.
Usually, a word with the person at the point of service delivery will suffice. However, we recognise that from time to time there may be occasions when users of our services feel that the quality or level of service provided falls short of what they could reasonably expect. We also want to know about these occasions so that we can address the problem and plan to avoid its repetition.
This is what you should do.
1. Most complaints can be resolved satisfactorily in an informal manner. Please notify TEAM RISE on 01284 427874/07939265218 if you have a complaint.
2. However, if your issue is serious or you remain unsatisfied, you should consider making a formal complaint. Download a complaints form from the website on www.teamrise.org.uk or ring 01282 427874 to obtain a copy of the complaints form and procedure. This can be sent to you via email. If you need an interpreter or advocate to help you make a complaint, TEAM RISE can arrange this for you.
3. Your complaint must be received within 21 days of the (i) event giving rise to the complaint or (ii) the date of the first knowledge by the complainant of the event.
4. The designated Complaints Officer of the charity will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 7 working days by email (if appropriate) and/or by post.
5. Your complaint can be rejected on the following grounds
(i)Your complaint is deemed to be out of time
(ii)Your complaint is a repeat of one made by the same or another complainant
(iii) the complaint form is not substantiated by any evidence (hearsay) or is malicious or vexatious.
6. If the complaint is rejected on one or more of the above grounds, the Complaints Officer shall inform the complainant accordingly.
7. If the complaint is to proceed, the Complaints Officer will set up an investigating panel comprised of three panel members observing any conflicts of interest with declarations made where required. Conflicts of interest relate to any close personal, family or professional relationship with the parties or have a direct proprietary or financial interest in the outcome of the
proceedings. During the investigation, you have the right to be accompanied by a friend or advocate to help your case. The panel has the right to have an advisor present.
8. A written report outlining outcomes with recommendations by the investigating panel will be made (where appropriate) in 21 days.
9. The report will be sent to the Trustee Board for consideration.
10. The outcome of the investigation will be communicated to you by the Complaints Officer within 7 working days.
11. Right of Appeal-You have the right to appeal the decision. Please appeal in writing to the Complaints Officer within 7 working days, who will appoint an Appeals Officer. The grounds for appeal are:-
(a) The procedure has not been followed
(b)That any findings of fact cannot be supported with regard to the evidence
(c)There is new evidence not available at the time of the decision which renders such decision unreasonable
12. The decision of the Appeal Officer is final and will be communicated accordingly
